Goods on the same level can be tightly arranged, with an effective utilization rate of over 90% for space and a utilization rate of over 60% for site area.

Pallet access mode: The shelves adopt a pallet access mode, and goods can be directly driven into the interior of the shelves for access operations by forklifts, which can fully utilize warehouse space and reduce the number of channels.

The principle of first storage and then retrieval: Corridor style shelves follow the principle of "first storage and then retrieval". Newly stored goods will be stored deep in the shelves, and when leaving the warehouse, the earliest stored goods closest to the entrance and exit will be the first to be released. Therefore, it is more suitable for large-scale storage of the same batch and the same type of goods, and not suitable for goods that require frequent changes and random access.

Applicable field: Corridor style shelves are particularly suitable for storing goods with a single variety, large batch size, and relatively few inbound and outbound times, such as food, beverages, dairy products, tobacco, refrigerated and frozen products, household appliances, chemical raw materials, clothing materials, and other industries.

Stability considerations: Compared to other types of shelves, corridor style shelves have relatively weaker stability because they reduce the number of columns and sacrifice some structural stability to increase storage density. Therefore, the height of the shelves is usually limited to within 10 meters and corresponding tensioning devices need to be added to ensure the safety of the overall system.

Cost effectiveness: Although there is some complexity in design and installation, due to its extremely high storage efficiency, in the long run, the investment cost of corridor style shelves is relatively low compared to the storage capacity they provide.
